About Artist

Hyderabad

Mrs. Lalitha Swathi, is a self-motivated artist and started her career in corporate world at the age of 19 years and worked for 12 years with multiple companies and quit the corporate life to pursue her passion towards art. She started pursuing her career as a painter relatively late in her life. Born in Hyderabad in 1985, her entire education and work has been in Hyderabad itself. At the age of 12 years, she participated in the state level cartoon competition and she won Gold medal award representing A.P. State.

She won many such drawing competitions during her school and College days. From then onwards, she started showing more interest towards paintings and sketches. Though her thoughts since childhood were towards the art and crafts, her surroundings and family needs made her pursue her Graduation in Statistics and while working she could complete PGDBA with Symbiosis University, Pune (distance learning) and she has also done her Executive Management Program in Business Administration with University of Virginia (McIntire School of Commerce). All through her education, she persisted with her passion for ART and she continued to do pencil sketches on paper and practice other forms of art as possible. This made her to stay in the art world. She got married during the year 2010 and settled with her family in Hyderabad. She started exhibiting her paintings from the year 2014 onwards within the known network and now extending it to the corporate world and to the art lovers at large. Though as an artist she has been self-driven, her work soon garnered attention and critical praise. She is yet to give her solo shows in twin cities. She draws her inspiration from her challenging years of childhood and adulthood and the critical journey she had. In her opinion, the thoughts of an individual or their emotions can be expressed well in an art form where no words nor conversations could give enough freedom or satisfaction one looks for. Lalitha wishes to add art work of special children (mentally and physically disable children) in her Gallery and she would like to support them by exhibiting their works. She would like to showcase their talents to the outside world, “the beauty of God’s creation”.
